Jim Hughes serves as a Principal Solution Architect with over 20 years of experience in Microsoft technologies, including being an early adopter of Azure nearly a decade ago. He will be discussing options to govern and manage Azure resources, including topics such as role-based access control, cost optimization, tagging and subscription management. This session will help attendees understand how they can get a better handle on their Azure consumption, while still providing the flexibility and speed that Azure provides to the marketplace.

Chris Wargula has been developing software for 15 years and currently manages a team of developers working in the Microsoft stack. Over the past three years, Chris has focused on Microsoft Azure PaaS solutions, such as App Services, Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factories and API Management, to decrease time to market and increase resiliency. Matt Sberna is a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep experience in developing and consuming APIs. Join him as he explores Azure API Management and learn how to catalog, secure and publish APIs through a common portal to both internal and external customers. Attendees will leave with an understanding of how to deploy API Management, as well as the benefits it offers to organizations who want to create an API ecosystem.

Steven Hook has specialized skills in software development, enterprise architecture, visual design and team management. His experience includes a broad range of .NET topics, Angular development and Cloud Computing in Microsoft Azure and he leads the Pittsburgh .NET User Group. Most recently, he has focused his attention on conversational intelligence, enabling exciting ways for organizations to reach their customers. Join Steven as he introduces us to the Microsoft Bot Framework, Azure Bot Services and Cognitive Service’s Language Understanding Service (LUIS), and how they can be used to create chat bot interfaces.
