I will be anchoring two sessions in this year’s Global Azure Bootcamp and you don’t want to miss it! My session titles and descriptions are as follows:
Session 1: Azure Classic vs Resource Manager
Azure is a platform that continues to undergo a significant transformation. There are two deployment models supported by Azure public cloud – they include: Classic and Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
Classic Azure Portal: Chances are that you have used this portal if you’ve been using Azure for a while. It is used to create and configure older Azure resources that support the classic deployment model. You cannot use it to create or configure resources that only support Resource Manager.
Azure Resources Manager: This is the ‘new’ Azure portal. Microsoft Azure has decided to move away from the Classic deployment model to the Resource Manager model (also called ARM – Azure Resource Model) and are encouraging all their customers to move to ARM. Some of the reasons why people are moving to ARM is because of features like:
I will be covering, with live demo, how to deploy workloads into Azure ARM, the differences between Azure Classic and ARM, the cons associated with Azure classic and the pros of migrating your workload to Azure ARM.
Session 2: System Hacking using Metasploit, and Post-Exploitation Using Meterpreter
The goal of system hacking is to gain access, escalate privileges, execute applications, and hide files.
In this session, I will be showing LIVE DEMOS of how to hack using Metasploit and how to perform some Post-Exploitation using Meterpreter. You will learn how to use backdoor to monitor system activity. Backdoor that contain Trojan or other infectious applications that can either halt the current working state of a target machine or even gain partial/complete control over it.
