It’s now just under two months till the big day! How are things going for your preparations?
It’s all Details!
Did you know that you can help us promote your events through the global website? When you created your location there was an HTML area named “Details” you can use to help provide information about your event. This data is then shown on your location detail page and will help people find you. We suggest adding links to your registration page or event home page if you have one. For an example check out Columbus, OH’s page at http://global.azurebootcamp.net/locations/united-states-columbus/.
To add details log in to the site here and then from the menu in the upper right hand corner select Events > My Events. Modify the Details and you’re all set!
The Media Kit
We have created a Media Kit alert that you can send out to local media outlets, such as newspapers, TV stations, etc. The idea is that you can download the document and send it to the local media. They may want to interview you about the event (which is awesome! A great way to spread awareness of the event), but if you don’t feel comfortable with that the media kit includes contact information for the global organizers as well. We will be updating this document once we get more information about the Charity Lab in place, but this can start the conversation. Getting an event this size together is a big deal and the local media sometimes is a great way to help project that this is happening.
