What a ride the Global Azure Bootcamp 2018 has been so far! And now we are down to the line in the final week!

On Saturday the planet erupts with Azure activities all around the globe in the sixth bootcamp! There are 286 locations registered in 70 countries. Carefully estimated this might mean >15 000 attendees world-wide learning about Azure on the same day!

This truly is breathtaking! You, yes, you, are awesome for making this reality!

    Digital Goodies

The Digital Goodies email has been sent to the main local organizer on record for your events. It contains a handout that has something for all the participants, as well as winner forms you can hand your raffle prize winners. Each raffle prize has something you can immediately hand the winner! No waiting! You will not have to report winner through the post-event survey this year, but there is still a good reason (and incentive) to fill out that survey.
    Speaking of the survey…

PLEASE Fill out our post-event survey!

The way we can get sponsors to support Global Azure Bootcamp is by the numbers but we need your help!
All we ask is that you give us the numbers from your locations on attendees that showed up, sessions and speaker counts as well as give credit to the speakers including MVPs that helped out at your locations! It is by the five minutes of filling out this simple survey that you can help guarantee sponsors will want to give awesome swag also for future events!
So after your event, please fill out this survey: https://tinyurl.com/gabsurvey2018
Filling out the survey also will get you a thank you surprise from LinkedIn Learning. We'd tell you what it was, but then that wouldn't be a surprise!
    Thank you in advance!

Show the official slide deck with the sponsor logos!

GAB has a great set of sponsors which we are so happy about. They support us globally and offer great giveaways. They absolutely deserve our thanks for everything they do! Please make sure you show the official slide with logos of the sponsors on the day of your event! You can also include the sponsors in tweets with the hashtag #globalazure – that's something they particularly love! Thanks in advance for doing this!
You can download the official slide decks now!

Use the hashtag and send us your stories!

Like last year, let's make #GlobalAzure trend around the world! Tell everyone at the events to use the tag!
On the day, take photos, blog, make videos, etc. and then if you wish send us links to all of it! Your stories are what show the real power of Azure Community and we will include them in our annual GAB White Paper and give you all the credit for the great community work you do locally wherever you are!
Please email global@azurebootcamp.net with your stories in whatever format they may be! We share them with Microsoft's leadership and with all of our sponsors! If you are lucky and quick to send us your story you might end up featured on the azure.com page for Global Azure Bootcamp: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/azurebootcamp-2018/ which Microsoft has been so very nice to create for us!

Great resources with current learning material on Azure

Here are a few additional free and up to date resources about Azure which you can show to your attendees! Global Azure Bootcamp is about sharing great content and learning resources free for everyone to ramp up their skills on!
Azure Essentials is the starting point of your learning journey, helping you learn in 3 simple steps: Watch, Learn, and Try. Azure Essentials provides an overview of what Azure can do, and point you to learn more through our multiple free courses and content. Go to http://microsoft.com/AzureEssentials to get started.
Microsoft Mechanics is the official show for Microsoft’s latest technology innovations, engineering commentary and demos. Check out the Azure playlist for an “under the hood view of the latest Azure updates with the people behind them” at https://aka.ms/AzureMSFTMechanics.
Azure Cloud Developer Advocates are experts in the Azure platform who are maniacal about making the world amazing for developers of all backgrounds. Even if they won't be at your event, tell your attendees to follow these folks on facebook, twitter and learn from them. Many of them blog, produce podcasts and videos to help people learn Azure. They are a great resource! Check them out.
Now, please, go out there on the Big Day of #GlobalAzure and have LOTS OF COMMUNITY FUN!

I already have the Subway catering confirmed. On the page, it say
“In order to receive catering you must agree to request your attendees to fill out an event survey.”

When are we going to get this “Event Survey URL” for the attendees?

    Mike Wood

Good news Ching-Yoong! They have decided to remove that request, so you no longer need to provide the attendees with a survey, just lunch. 🙂
